About Leigh
A little bit about...well, me

'Ello there.  I'm Leigh & welcome to my little corner of CrossingNigel.com.  If you've stumbled across this page, you must be curious to learn a little about me.  Or you're here by accident.

Where to start?  How about a photo?

There, that's me.  I'm a born & bred Minnesotan.  I work at a boring office job by day and have a wild life of screencapping and web surfing by night.  Work is really just a way to pay for my passions in life.

One of which is traveling.  I love it!  Road tripping is one of my favorite things to do.  Through this wacky Internet thing, I've met people pretty much everywhere and I love going around to hang out with them.

The traveling thing feeds another passion - stalking rock bands.  My favorite band of all time is Faster Pussycat.  I have a fansite dedicated to them, Pure Pussycat Pleasure.   I don't stalk them exclusively though.  You can also check out MidnightRose.net for a variety of other live band photos.  Be warned - it's mostly 80's hair bands because I love them!

Some of the other things I enjoy are reading, hanging out with my friends, surfing the 'net, scrapbooking and watching movies.  Ummm, yeah.  I guess I'm a bit of a geek.  I'm okay with that.  I do have a blog at Live Journal, Bleeding to Find Resurrection.  You can learn more about me there than you've probably ever wanted to know.  I'm almost always there though, so that's a good place to find me.  Of course, you can always email me at sweetleigh@crossingnigel.com.  I also have a journal for all the lj icons I've made, Jager Bitch Icons.  I'm quite addicted to those little 100x100 pixel creations!

So how'd I get involved in this crazy venture?

Really, how does any fandom obsession start?  When NBC moved Crossing Jordan to Sunday nights, I was the person they were looking for.  Someone who would keep watching after Law & Order: Criminal Intent was over.  I'd never seen the show before, as I always work on Monday nights.  I really enjoyed "Devil May Care" and from then on, I was hooked!  I really liked the characters and the interesting storylines.

However, it wasn't until "Revealed" that I really took notice of Dr. Nigel Townsend - and then it was "Oh my God, that guy is HOT in eyeliner!  Why don't they dress him up like that all the time?"  Even after that, while I always took notice of Nigel during every episode, it was not yet full blown adoration.

How does something like this begin?  It was like one day my brain decided "You're going to crush all over that guy."  So, I began looking for CJ websites and other Steve-related things.  I bought a couple of his movies.  I changed the mood theme on my Live Journal from Hugh Jackman to Nigel.  But still, it wasn't enough.  I was really dismayed that there wasn't a lot of Nigel/Steve stuff out there.  He's so funny & entertaining!  Why wasn't there any fansites out there??

So, with a little encouragement from the crowd at the drnigeltownsend Yahoo! group, CrossingNigel.com was born.  I bought the domain on a Wednesday morning and by Thursday evening, I had the main site design done and some screencaps posted!  It's not the snazziest site out there, (really, I know just enough of this stuff to get by) but it does fill a cyberspace void.

I couldn't do this without...

The drnigeltownsend Yahoo!  group - Many thanks to you all!  Your encouragement, feedback and suggestions are are wonderful and appreciated!

Fara - For letting me borrow her CJ DVDs so I'd have more material to cap.  Thanks for feeding my addiction!

Kate & Meg - For their unwavering belief that Nigel & Bug belong together forever.

eBay - I'd be lost without you!

Tim Kring & everyone at Crossing Jordan - Thanks for creating such a wonderful show.  I can't think of a better way to spend my Sunday nights!

Steve Valentine - Where would I be without him?  =)  Thanks for being such a wonderful actor and for making Nigel real.  And really, I'm not a stalker.  No, really.

And thanks to you for stopping by!
